It’s time to connect, celebrate
and make memories with your ʻohana.

We’re learning to deal with COVID-19 as part of life, but not let it hold us back from fully living.

Our local community thrives because of the bonds between us, and getting together is an important part of what makes us happy and healthy as people in our culture.

When we gather with our friends, family and neighbors, important healing takes place from the past years of pandemic pressures and tragic loss. As we do so, it’s important that we make some small adjustments to our event plans to be safe and responsible moving forward.

How to Gather Safely

For many of us, it’s been a long time since we’ve hosted or attended a large gathering. So how do we get together in a way that’s fun for everyone, while also respecting the needs of kupuna and vulnerable individuals?

Being together is foundational to the health and happiness of our community. At this stage of COVID, we need to find ways to live life to the fullest, with a few small adjustments to keep everyone safe. Just like we take our shoes off at someoneʻs house, following a new set of Covid-related courtesies will help us enjoy each others’ company while keeping everyone safe.

To make it easier to plan and host a large gathering, we’ve created checklists, sample materials, and recommendations for best practices when it comes to making a fun, safe, and successful event.
